Film Distributor Report Card (Official)

This is an internal ‘independent film distributor report card’ doc/template that was made over at Artis Entertainment to help us reminisce/lament on film distribution arrangements we have made over the years.

Our shorts and features at The Sabi Company have been handled by a variety of distributors (often more than one per title) and each film had its own distro experience (good and bad) whether it was VOD, DVD, Broadcast TV, International distributors or other platforms. These are basic items we care about in a relationship with a film distributor – simplified. Obviously not real science here, just evals based on personal experience up to present.

Maybe issuing these report cards publicly might save a new filmmaker some grief? Or help shake-up the often unacceptable practices of some of the more complacent (and criminal) distributors?

For now, it helps us vent.
